Since yesterday's blog included thoughts about fruit, I thought today I'd share the lazy man's way of cleaning fruit. When I come home from the grocery store, I throw my berries and fruit in the sink and rinse them and let them drain as I put away the rest of the groceries. Berries, however, seem to hold water a little more than larger fruit, which tends to dry quickly. To remedy this problem, I put a paper towel in the container, close the lid, and flip the container upside down. I can put this in the fridge this way, and the excess water will be absorbed by the paper towel. In this way, I can FILL my fridge with fruit!
