Preparing to receive the promise: Anticipate & Act
"Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the Lord your God giveth you to possess it. "
Sometimes we say we trust God’s word, but our actions lack proof of that claim. If I believe God is going to provide for me financially, I may put out job applications even though I've not had success in the job market for a while. If I believe God has given me a talent He’d like to use, I may seek for ways to use that gift. For example, if I think I have a good singing voice, then I may go sing for someone who’s in the hospital. If I think I’m called to write, I may begin journaling my thoughts. When we get ready to receive our promise, our actions will indicate our anticipation.
