“Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.” God promised Israel a land of their own, but their rejection of God kept the promise from being fulfilled in a timely manner. God had to put His people through a testing process so that they could learn to trust in Him. They faced trouble and received strength to endure. They faced enemies and were protected. They experienced lack and received provision. Their hardships and subsequent God-interventions served to prove that God was for them and that He’d keep His promise to them. After 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, the time for inheriting the promise did arrive. Sometimes we can lose sight of our promise through the testing time, but if we allow the trials of life to refine our faith, we will stand poised to receive what God has promised.
Tip/Tidbit: Are you facing hardship? Cling to God in the middle of the trouble, and you’re faith will be strong enough to receive the blessing He’s eager to give you.
