Tip/Tidbit: Schedule moments away from work AND hobbies to simply be still. Sit on a park bench in the shade. Lie on a blanket beneath a starlit sky. Pull a chair into the sunlight. Prop your feet up in a recliner. Silence the noise. Simply BE.
From Creation, a day of rest was implemented. God created. He spoke. He designed. It was work that He enjoyed and proclaimed good, but upon its completion, He rested. When he handed out the Commandments, He included mandatory rest. Jesus made time for rest. We were designed for rest. Dictionary.com defines rest the following ways: the refreshing quiet or repose of sleep; refreshing ease or inactivity after exertion or labor; relief or freedom, especially from anything that wearies, troubles, or disturbs; a period or interval of inactivity, repose, solitude, or tranquility; mental or spiritual calm; tranquility; the repose of death; cessation or absence of motion. The verb version of the word is doing any of the above. We were meant to stop, be still, release, and replenish the mind, body, and spirit.
