“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
I’ve always found it easier to face a challenge when I do so with a friend. I recently had a speaking engagement, and a dear friend showed up for moral support. Seeing her face in the crowd gave me courage while I was giving my presentation. How much more encouragement we have when we are mindful of God’s presence. Joshua reminded Israel that God was with them as they faced the unknown. He is with us in the same way. If we peer into our world, we will see His reassuring smile cheering us on.
Tip/Tidbit: Put reminders of God’s presence in your environment. Frame a Scripture. Harvest a bouquet of flowers. Take a picture of a rainbow. Choose a “God spot” where you sit and think about His nearness. Observe His handiwork in nature. Remember that He is with you!
