Tip/Tidbit: I've invited someone over for coffee. What would you enjoy doing for someone else?
I get the warm fuzzies every time I see my kids, who are nearly grown, doing nice things for each other. This evening, after putting in a long day at work, my son is working on my daughter's automobile stereo. I could do without the extra thump, but the music they make together is a melody for my heart. I wonder if that's how God feels about His children. He's got to love it when hurt feelings and jealous attitudes fail to interfere with "family" relationships, and His heart must swell with joy when we choose to go the extra mile for one another. Putting in the speakers required my son's sacrifice, but his sister's elation was a gift he received in return. When we give of ourselves, it may cost something, but seeing the other person blessed is a prize worthy of the trouble.
