I considered this the perfect illustration of Christian service. Often, it seems that others have found their niche and are sailing through life with purpose and destiny while we remain beached, seemingly off-course. Opportunities come knocking from time to time but with little result. However, we aren't to lose heart. Just as things changed quickly for the barges this morning when tug boats came into perfect position and pulled them away from the shallow, so it is true for us. In one moment, our lives align with the Spirit's timing, and change takes place. Things that have seemed so settled within us shift, and we are tugged from our comfort zone into the deep waters of useful, satisfying service.
Tip/Tidbit: Don't lose heart in the wait. Evaluate your life to see if there are choices that have thrown you off course. Repent of known sin, then shift your focus to what IS at hand. Make any small steps you are able to take. Then, be patient with yourself and the outcome of your choices. When you remain in alignment with the Holy Spirit, you will be moved into fulfillment of your destiny.
